PRICES 
Unless stated, prices exclude VAT, delivery and Installation
 

 

LEAD TIMES

Upholstered Furniture is manufactured in 4 - 6 weeks

(From receipt of cleared deposit) although supplier’s holidays and dispatching of fabrics can extend this. Expected lead times will be indicated at the point of purchase and will be confirmed as soon as possible thereafter.
Shorter lead times may be available – please contact our sales team.
Other furniture – Various lead times – please contact our sales team.
 

 

DEPOSIT
We require 50% of the total amount in cleared funds, as a non-refundable deposit to process an order.
 

 

ORDER CONFIRMATION
All details and product specifications must be read carefully and clearly understood prior to payment as changes cannot be made once the order has been processed. 
 

 

BALANCE PAYMENTS

Are required within 2 weeks of the goods arriving at our distribution warehouse. After this period interest costs will be charge at 2.5% + VAT of the balance remaining on a weekly basis, until the goods are paid for in full. (Weeks run from Monday to Sunday and will be charged at a full week's rate).

 

 PAYMENTS

Bank Transfer / Debit Card payments are accepted.

*Please note credit cards are not accepted.

 

 DELIVERIES
Customers will be notified one week in advance of goods arriving at The Chair Group holding warehouse.

Delivery quotations are based on a tailgate delivery, unless otherwise stated. All deliveries/collections must be arranged and accepted within 2 weeks of goods arriving at our distribution warehouse. After this period, storage facility costs will be charged at £1.20 + VAT per cubic metre on a weekly basis. (Weeks run from Monday to Sunday and will be charged at a full week's rate). 

The customer will pay extra charges incurred from changes to delivery arrangements, in full.
The Chair Group will not be held liable for storage costs due to project delays.

 

DAMAGES

Delivery by Contract Chairs

You must check the condition of the Products upon delivery and inform the delivery carrier of any defects or problems with the Products at that time.  The delivery carrier will direct all queries at this stage to us and we will endeavour to agree a means of curing such defects or problems with you.  If you choose not to have the Products unwrapped at the time of delivery, we do not accept responsibility for any defects or problems that would have been revealed by a proper check of the unwrapped Products upon delivery.

 

 DAMAGES

External carriers

Visual packaging damage

 Must be signed for as damaged/faulty at the time of the delivery/collection for The Chair People to be able to make a claim for any replacement.

If only the product is damaged/faulty and the packaging is all-ok.

Customers are responsible for checking the goods at the time of delivery

 You must call or email within 24 hours of receipt of your order, Images will be requested to support your claim to enable the Remedial Department to make a judgement of the quickest resolution for you.

 

REFUNDS

All made to order items are none refundable unless faulty/Damaged subject to manufacturer warranty, see Terms for damages. 

 

GUARANTEE

We offer a one-year guarantee against manufacturing faults on all made to order products and new stock products purchased.

Products excluded from any manufacturer guarantee are

Clearance and sales items used for the purpose of ex-showroom display.

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY WHEN SUPPLYING YOUR OWN FABRICS TO ENSURE IT MEETS THE NATIONAL BS REQUIREMENT AND IS FIT FOR ITS PURPOSE. WE WILL REQUIRE WRITTEN PROOF OF THIS.

Sending Fabric- it is essential that your package is clearly marked With your name and order reference and if there is any ambiguity about the right side of The fabric or how it runs, please either mark on the fabric you send in, or an a sample Piece, which side of the fabric is to be used.

What is the difference between an "up the roll" fabric pattern and a "railroaded"

One? "Railroaded" fabric runs left-to-right or side-to-side across the width

"Up the roll" fabric runs from top-to-bottom across the length

The Chair People cannot accept liability for inadvertently using the incorrect side. It is the responsibility of the customer to inspect and check his or her own fabric. Although we do our best to check for any faults in the fabric, we cannot accept responsibility if the goods are made up before this becomes known.

Fabric quantities quoted are approximate and are based on fabric no less than 140 cm wide. (Pattern repeats and differing fabric widths along with how you require your furniture upholstering all have a bearing on how much fabric you will need if you fill in our com request form we will determine accurate quantities required). 

 

We have the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions from time to time to reflect changes in market conditions affecting our business, changes in technology, changes in payment methods, changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements and changes in our system's capabilities.
